Providence Pink Classic Golf Tournament Will Have Early Date and Time this Year
After raising over $26,000 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in 2018, this year the Providence team’s keystone event will be held September 21, 2019 with a starting tee time of 8:30am. The annual fundraising 5k walk will be held on October 12, 2019 at Lake Mirror in Lakeland.
Davenport, Fla (August 26, 2019) — Providence Golf Club Community has been a top fundraiser for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for six years, most recently raising over $26,000 in 2018. This year the iconic Pink Classic Golf Tournament at Providence Golf Club will be held on an earlier Saturday than in the past, with an earlier tee time as well.
The tradition of the golf tournament and other events continues to honor the memory of the Providence resident who inspired them, and all other survivors and victims of breast cancer.
“We are so excited about our 7th Annual Pink Classic,” says Providence Making Strides team captain and resident Mary Beth Miesemer. “The golf tournament at Providence Golf Club has an earlier date this year, September 21, 2019 and earlier and cooler start with the 8:30am tee time. We are busy contacting past sponsors and supporters and are so grateful for their willingness to once again to help us raise money for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and the American Cancer Society. We’ve built a following and friendships, and each year we raise more money at the Pink Classic. We anticipate this year being no different. We are accepting registrations now and welcome all to this fun day of golf!”
“This will be the seventh year our dynamic community has come together to raise an extraordinary amount of money for breast cancer research and prevention,” says Yuval Botansky, President of ABD, the developer and custom home builder behind Providence Golf Club Community. “Both ABD and Providence are proud sponsors of the event. We invite all the golfers out there to participate in one of the four person teams and come prepared to enjoy the beautiful updated greens of the Providence golf course.” .
The main event for the “Providence Booby Brigade” is the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5k walk at Lake Mirror in Lakeland, Florida, alongside the other teams of Making Strides of Polk County. It will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 and as with the golf tournament, all are welcome to join the Providence team. Providence Golf Club Community is comprised of unique neighborhoods by ABD and other nationally known builders in a naturally lovely setting on the outskirts of Orlando, Florida.
